Create a Product Video From Any Product URL
This recipe turns a public product page into a repeatable ecommerce video workflow. It is designed for teams that need the same extraction, composition, and delivery path across a catalog without rebuilding the edit for every SKU.
Input contract
Use a public http or https product page. The page should expose a product name, useful summary, price or offer information, and at least one image that the workflow can access. Private, authenticated, localhost, and internal URLs are not accepted.
The published fixture shape is https://shop.example.com/products/linen-shirt. Replace it with a real public product page when you run the workflow. The fixture documents the expected input shape; it is not a claim that the example domain is a live customer source.
Run the workflow
- Open the product URL workflow.
- Paste a public product URL and use the preview to confirm the input shape.
- Continue to the authenticated runner, review the extracted product values, and check the estimated credit cost.
- Start the run and inspect the generated video before publishing it to a store, ad account, or social channel.
The workflow uses preset version 1 and the published catalog currently reports an observed estimate of 1 credit for the default run. The actual result depends on the source page, extracted media, and the current render path.
What the workflow does
- crawls the public product page;
- maps the product name, summary, price, image, and domain into the product-launch template;
- renders a vertical product promo;
- sends the output to iLoveVideoEditor hosting so you can review it from the run history.
Failure modes to check
Incomplete Open Graph or product metadata can leave a variable empty. A blocked image can produce a layout that needs manual review. Pricing, claims, image rights, and availability remain the responsibility of the person publishing the video.
If extraction is incomplete, use the deeper product page workflow or switch to a manual template flow. Do not treat a successful render as proof that every extracted claim is correct.
Variations
Use the same workflow for a small product collection, then compare the output across SKUs before increasing volume. For a prompt-first brief, use the product video generator. For API-owned rendering, inspect the promo template catalog.
